The annual harvest of the monthly journal KEEL ja KIRJANDUS ('Language and Literature') comprises about 1000 pages on linguistics, literature, folklore, and cultural history. Being a primary source of philological information for students of any level, Keel ja Kirjandus is a periodical that no scholar of Estonian philology or history can miss reading. Undergraduates will find it a welcome extension of their lecture notes as well as a channel of discussion. Apart from scholarly articles the journal carries essays, reviews and news of the world of philology.
The journal Keel ja Kirjandus is indexed in ERIH (European Reference Index of the Humanities) category NAT, LLBA (CSA Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts, ProQuest), MLA International Bibliography (Modern Language Association), Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, and Linguistic Bibliography of CIPL (Permanent International Committe of Linguists). Full text electronically available in CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library), and digital archive of the National Library of Estonia DIGAR. Prior to publication the article manuscripts submitted to Keel ja Kirjandus have been peer-reviewed since 2001.
